A birthday party for your toddler can be a lot of fun to plan and to host. Unfortunately, these parties can quickly turn into disasters if you are not prepared. When hosting a birthday party for smaller children, you have to ensure that you have activities available that will keep them entertained. Bored, tired or otherwise unhappy children will not make for a very good party. The best rule of thumb when planning a party for toddlers is to keep is simple. Plan to invite only one child per each year of age that your child is. In other words, if your child is turning 2, then invite only 2 children of the same age. You can invite several older children if you want but try not to overdo it and be sure that you have a couple of older teenagers or adults on hand to help.
