At every birthday party, there is always a hush that covers the room whenever it is time to take out the child's birthday cake.  With its candles glowing, your cake will sit at a place of honor for all of your child's party guests to admire as they sing “Happy Birthday” to your child.  After the song, the oohs and the aahs it is time to actually cut and taste the delicious cake.  Now isn't this the type of a reaction that you would like for your child's birthday cake to have this year?  If you answered “yes” to this question, then continue reading so that you can have the perfect birthday cake for your child's next birthday party.

Whenever it comes to choosing a birthday cake for your child's next birthday party, you should allow your creative imagination to run wild.  This is important since almost any type of cake is actually possible.  Here are just a couple of ideas to help you get started though:
1.A Princess' tiara or castle
2.If your child is into skating, you could created a skateboard cake, a pair of ice skates or a pair of roller blades.
3.A lot of little girls would be thrilled to have a cake in the shape of either a butterfly or a ladybug.
4.Are you serving a hot dog and fries for the birthday meal?  Then compliment it with a cake that looks like a hot dog and fries.
5.Does your child like to read Dr. Seuss' books?  Then create a cake for them that resembles green eggs and ham.

Of course, choosing a child's first birthday cake can be even more difficult than choosing an older child's birthday cake because it is easy to feel as though there is a lot of pressure to make your baby's first birthday party a highly memorable experience.  With this in mind, you could create a very beautiful cake for your child in the shape of either a baby bib or a pair of baby booties.  Either one will certainly be a great success.

As you can clearly see now, the only limit to the type of cake that you can have at your child's birthday party is set by your own imagination.  With a bit of imagination your child's birthday party is going to be a huge success amongst your child's friends this year.
