Family Fun - BirthDay Parties for Kids

It can be somewhat frustrating to plan a child's birthday party.  This is because you have a whole list of things that you need to take into consideration, such as:

  • The theme.
  • How many guests to invite.
  • Where to hold the party.
  • What type of food to serve.

Now, if you want your child to have a truly memorable birthday, then you should take some time to plan a simple, yet fun, menu.  These can be as easy as making some delicious appetizers, such as:

  • Pizza Muffins.  For this recipe you will need one can of refrigerated biscuits, one cup of tomato sauce, one cup of shredded cheese, a half pound of ground meat (this should be browned and drained), one teaspoon of onion salt and one teaspoon of Italian seasoning.  You will want to place each of your biscuits into a muffin pan so that it will cover both the bottom and the sides.  Your tomato sauce, onion salt and Italian seasoning should then be combined together.  Place one tablespoon of this mixture and one tablespoon of ground meat in each muffin cup before topping with cheese.  This will then need to bake for ten to fifteen minutes in an oven that is set at 350 degrees.
  • Apple Lady Bugs.  All you will need in order to make this recipe is two red apples, ¼ cup of raisins, one tablespoon of peanut butter and eight pretzel sticks.  The apples need to be sliced in half from top to bottom and the cores removed.  Next, place each apple flat side down on a small plate and dab peanut butter on the back of it so that you can stick raisins on as the ladybug's spots.  Use the pretzel sticks to make antennae.
  • Tag-A-Longs.  In order to make this recipe you will need one box of Ritz crackers, one small jar of peanut butter and coating chocolate.  You will want to cover the crackers with peanut butter and top with another cracker to make a sandwich.  Melt the chocolate and then dip the sandwiches in it until they are covered.  Allow these to dry before you serve them.

Regardless of what you give the children who attend your child's birthday party to eat, remember to have fun.  Part of this fun comes from involving your child in the party planning.  They will love the experience, as well as the time that they get to spend with you.  This will also help to take some of the stress out of the planning.  Once you are able to do this and add your own personal touches, your child's birthday party will definitely be a great success.
