The days of children playing with G.I. Joe's, Barbie's and board games are a thing of the past today.  This is because today's children are technologically savvy and thus they need to have hi-tech, interactive games that supply them with a source of instant gratification.  Of course, little boys still enjoy playing with their trucks in the mud and little girls like dressing up their doll babies for toy parties but today's children are also quite computer literate as well.

Two of the most popular toys here include:

• The Leapfrog Learning System.  This popular learning system comes with a variety of really fun, educational games.  With these toys, you will be able to turn an ordinary television set into a video game that is used to teach your child basic things such as colors, animals, the alphabet and even more.  There are also other varieties of Leapfrog toys that are just as educational.
• Webkinz.  This is a very interactive toy that has actually taken the industry by storm.  These adorable stuffed animals are able to transport your child into a virtual world that is filled with friends, fun, learning and games.  As your child logs on to this web site they will get to play a variety of educational games, visit with friends and learn how to be responsible as they will need to take good, proper care of their virtual pet.  Even parents have a tendency of getting addicted to this virtual world and the games that it is filled with.  Of course, this has led to a whole set of spin offs that are similar to Webkinz.  These include Shining Stars, Ty Girls and Zoobie pets.  Unfortunately though, none of these have become as popular as Webkinz.  In fact, Webkinz is so popular that it now has its own spin off: LilKinz.

Unfortunately, parents are slower to adapt to kids tech savvy toys but in the end, you should see these things as an asset.  They do help with your child's learning and development.  So, you should not be afraid to introduce these things into your home.

It is our opinion that every child deserves the best education. As a company, our mission is to enhance children’s learning through the toys we supply.

Learning starts as soon as a baby is born. When
first born, a child’s brain is about 25% the size it
will be before reaching adulthood. There are
many ways to improve the development of your
child’s brain from the type of food through to
learning activities.

Without a doubt, institutions such as nurseries
and schools play a big part in learning for
young children. However, we believe that
learning shouldn’t be confined to school. By
spending a few hours a week reading a
book at bedtime or playing a game can
dramatically improve your child’s learning skills.
