The days of children playing with G.I. • Webkinz.  This is a very interactive toy that has actually taken the industry by storm.  These adorable stuffed animals are able to transport your child into a virtual world that is filled with friends, fun, learning and games.  As your child logs on to this web site they will get to play a variety of educational games, visit with friends and learn how to be responsible as they will need to take good, proper care of their virtual pet.  Even parents have a tendency of getting addicted to this virtual world and the games that it is filled with.  Of course, this has led to a whole set of spin offs that are similar to Webkinz.  These include Shining Stars, Ty Girls and Zoobie pets.  Unfortunately though, none of these have become as popular as Webkinz.  In fact, Webkinz is so popular that it now has its own spin off: LilKinz.

Unfortunately, parents are slower to adapt to kids tech savvy toys but in the end, you should see these things as an asset.  They do help with your child's learning and development.  So, you should not be afraid to introduce these things into your home.
