Stock items can help you to save a fortune when remodeling or decorating. Instead of choosing custom items which can cost up to twice as much, choose items that are in stock. If you are not in a huge hurry to get your decorating done, you can wait on sales and discounts at many stores. When you shop, ask a sales associate if any of the items that you need will go on sale in the near future. If you are decorating close to the end of a season, many items will be put on clearance to make way for the upcoming season.
