There are millions of women who have no trouble getting pregnant. They may not plan on getting pregnant. But for those millions of people who don’t have to try, there are thousands of women who are not that lucky. There are different tips and tricks that you can use to get pregnant. Here are some tips that we can offer. The first thing you should do before trying to get pregnant is visit your OB-GYN and get a full and complete physical. By getting the physical it is almost getting a green light to conceive.

Women have many concerns based on myths they may have heard and they are not sure whether it is true. For example, it has been said that women who are overweight have a hard time getting pregnant. While, it is not impossible for an overweight woman to get pregnant. It does have something to do with it. Women who are within their target body weight have been known to conceive easier. But that is the least of anything that you should think about. If you are wanting to become pregnant, it can be a good idea to start getting your body in shape.

When you are trying to conceive it is important to stay hydrated, it is recommended that you drink 8 to 10 cups of water a day. This will help clean out your system and it actually increases your fertility. It is also recommended taking in 50 mg of Vitamin B6.

It is recommended that before you become pregnant that quit smoking and if you drink alcohol, it is also recommended that you stop. Caffeine is usually a no- no during pregnancy but it has been more accepted if you take in a moderate amount of caffeine. Once you have started to prepare your body for conception you can start tracking your period more closely and watch for the first day and the last day of the period which is very important in ovulation.

These days there are ovulation kits. These are home tests that can be used to help couples who are having trouble to get the right days of ovulation. Once you have clear dates of ovulation then it is easier to try to conceive. If you don’t have money for an ovulation kit then there are plenty of websites online that offer ovulation calendars. Use these methods; it will help a tremendous amount.

Doctors also recommend having sex close to the time of ovulation will greatly increase your chances of getting pregnant. You have to remember that there is a very small window of ovulation in a month. There is maybe 3 to 5 days per month which are perfect for conceiving. That is not to say that there are not other times that you could not have sex because you won’t get pregnant, it just means that these windows create better odds.

Orgasms have been a crucial part in conception, when you have an orgasm it increases your blood flow to the reproductive glands which helps keep them working in perfect order. Great sex and sex often is a key to conception.

Another method used in conception is called charting Basal Body Temperature. Take your temperature every morning and create a chart, when you notice a change in body temperature of about 0.4 then it is a sign that you are moving towards ovulation. Keep in mind that this is not a 100 percent effective way of getting pregnant; it is simply a tool that you can use.

There are some people who will try anything in order to get pregnant. There are some women who believe in taking herbal supplements such as Vitex, Anti Oxidants, Vitamin B, Folic Acid and L-Arginine which is an amino acid.  Whether these work in helping conception is unknown but there are some women that swear by them.

If none of these methods work then you may be doing something wrong or just not hitting the ovulation window. There is always next month if you miss the window. Remember the window is very small, only 3 to 5 days. Keep trying, if you use the ovulation method for three months and you still are not pregnant then it maybe time to see a doctor.

There is not always a physical problem when it comes to couples who cannot conceive. But it is not something that you want to rule out. Both people the man and woman should make appointments and get checked out. You want to make sure that the man’s sperm count is Ok and that the woman has no trouble with conceiving a child.

Sometimes these types of problems can be fixed with medication. But there are couples in this world that simply cannot have children. No matter how much testing they go through. Age is also a factor. This has been said for a long time, the ideal time to conceive is early twenties to late twenties. A woman over the age of 36 is considered a high risk, just because of her age. The women you do see in their 40’s having children, more often than not are having babies with the help of invitro or fertility drugs.

Sometimes that is the road that you must travel, if you are diagnosed as having difficulties in conceiving. Talk to your doctor about conceiving and see if fertility drugs is something that will help you. Remember, sometimes health insurances will not cover this and it can be expensive so ask your health care provider if this is covered.

Do some research if you are thinking about getting pregnant. Read about conception and see when the perfect time is. Purchase an ovulation kit or speak to your doctor, they may be able to help you with certain tips that they know about. Overall, don’t lose hope, it is also vitally important to stay positive, because believe it or not, it matters. Don’t give up!
